I'm running Arch Linux through a Virtual Machine. My actual Operating System is Windows 7 Ultimate. I've installed Awesome WM on Arch and there's a hot key for Windows key + L (or Super key + L). Once I press this, instead of it doing something on Arch, it locks Windows instead regardless if I have my VM fullscreen. Would anybody know of a way to fix this? I'm using Oracle Virtual Box.

I tried the registry edit the string, but couldn't find the file.

Hi there
I'm not sure about VBOX but in VMWARE workstation / player some keys are set in the Virtual BIOS which will take precedence over application hot keys -- like Num lock off / prt screen etc. There might also be Hot key settings in the Virtual Machine's configuration file -- I don't know VBOX but the Virtual BIOS and the configuration files seem to be the best places to start.

Cheers
