Hi

I'm hoping someone has a suggestion to solving my problem.

WLM crashed this afternoon. When I opened it up again, it recoverd the folders and messages in the Storage folder, but when I try to view or read the messages they actually link to one of only three messages. Messages in the top 3 folders link to one, the next two to another, and the rest to another.

The Message List looks fine, with the subject and sender showing correctly. It's just that I can't read the messages.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Fiona

Hi Fiona, welcome to Seven Forums.
Are your messages still on the 'Servers' website.

No, only the most recent messages are still on the tesco.net server, and these have downloaded to the wLM Inbox and I can see them correctly.

It's the older messages that are in the Storage folders that aren't appearing as they should, and these have long since been deleted from the server. Most of the messages I can live without, but there are a few relating to orders I've placed and not received yet, or races I've entered online and the email is my proof of entry.

Surely, the messages must be in the laptop somewhere?

Hi Fiona,

Try to restore WLM : How to Import or Restore Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail or Outlook Express Mail Rules - About Email
