Solved Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Dear Roadrunner/DavidW7ncus,
I opened a new Outlook account and it works in WLM. I am able to send and receive messages from Hotmail now.
I have also reinstalled Windows 7.
I am thrilled to feel that unknown persons across the globe are willing to spend their time and resources to help me when I have a problem. I express my gratitude once again for the help.
I have used the old Hotmail id (which is not working even after the reinstallation of Windows 7) for my Apple iPod.
I will check up with Apple help to change that id.
After that I will mark the problem as solved.
Best Regards,
S.Neelakantan.

Hello S.Neelakantan,

You're most welcome and glad to hear you got this issue resolved.
Good job on reinstalling Windows!
I'm sure you learned a lot, and that will help you fix issues going forward, saving money not having to pay someone else to work on your PC.
Ask back in Seven Forums if you have other questions or issues, someone here should be able to help.

As your new Outlook.com account works with WLM it sounds like something is wrong with the original Hotmail account that was hacked and doesn't work with WLM.
MS may be able to help you fix that account if you're interested in keeping it.

Regards,
David
