Windows Live mail freezing up after uninstall and reinstall

Because of numerous instances in which Windows Live Mail frooze up when attempting to collect my mail from my pop mail account (yahoo) I uninstalled and reinstalled Windoes Live Mail. The installation was successful and my contacts and pop account were successfully imported. I am again experiencing the problem with Windows Live mail freezing up. If it freezes up and I open Task Manager to close it, it will not restart unless I restart my computer. What do I do now? I am running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. I use Norton 2013. I had a Norton tech log into my computer and check out Norton's installation and settings and he could find no evidence that Norton 2013 was causing the problem.

I ran the sfc/SCANNOW command and it reported that it found no problems with the system files integrity.
The frreze up problem is intermittent.

Have you run any security scans yet John?

If not try Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware this sounds simple but is just one of elimination

I ran a full system scan and it did find any problems. I am starting to think the problem may originate with my pop email provider.

Yes maybe John I used to have a lot of problems with the mail account with my ISP so I went to Hotmail address I haven't had a problem since.

So is that a possibility? I know it is an awful pain to have to let everyone know the new address but I have not regretted it one bit. What you could try is set up another email address and ad it to the WLM account list.

Both my POP and STMP settings are mail.*******.com
