Windows live mail not working properly help please?

Hi, I am new to this forum so please forgive me.

I have issues with my live mail....I am receiving Email no problem, but I cant double click and open the message it just comes up with ' a problem has occured please try again'
I have a similar problem when I click on my contacts - nothing shows up? When I try to start a new email message I am unable to choose a recipient? I have even tried putting my own email address in and sending to myself but it comes up saying the recipients are not valid !

I have tried reinstalling but its still the same problem, I have no idea whats wrong with it

You could try a repair of Windows Live Essentials via Programs and Features.

Log in to your mail account directly, check the settings on how to access in WLM using POP. Signing in to WLM with a Windows Live ID simplifies matters i.e. a Hotmail dot Com account.

I've never seen that. But you could do a disk cleanup: Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Cleanup.

Hi roncerr, I saw it once on my pc. Once WLM was set properly it cleared itself.

I am getting the same problem.
"A problem occurred while trying to open this message. A problem occurred. Please try again."

I did an update for windows then started getting a sorttbls.nlp error. When I tried to reply or create a new message I got the error of a problem has occurred. I have tried several things to get rid of the sort error but it is still there. I have tried to fix the error in programs for email but that does not work either.
