I'm in Reno and I tried to send some photos which goes to SkyDrive but charter.net which is my IP provider doesn't recognized it but in Phoenix with cox.net I had no problems. I sign up for windows live with my new email and I click on send for a comformation but I never recieve one. When I click on Photo Album and send to myself it it says unknow error. So do I have to use Hotmail to do this or is there something I'm missing?

Yes, use Hotmail. Save the aggravation of ISP refusing smtp server.

In the Account Properties (Server tab) try checking off, under Outgoing Mail Server, the box that says "My server requires authentication". Unless your mail provider instructs you otherwise just leave the "settings..." as "Use same as incoming mail server".

You may not know it, but what you just did is called " hijacking " someone else's post with a question/problem that is completely different than the original poster.

In the eyes of computer users who offer help in forums such as this one, it is a big " no, no " , not to mention that it is not fair to the original poster who wants his/her issue resolved without distraction from a completely different issue which belongs to someone else.

Please kindly start a new thread for your own.
Thank you.
