windows mail is missing/blank from "open with" window

Hi all
after reinstate windows mail into 2 machine (all works fine now )
i noticed in one machine that windows mail is absent from "open with" window,
even though it is present in default program->associate file types or protocol....
How can i fix that?
i think its a registry key but its only a guess
*windows mail is default mail
i really want to avoid reinstate windows mail again...
