Solved How to delete a program from the Open with Window

Well this afternoon I was trying to insert PrintMaster into the open with window. I stupidly thought it was install.exe and clicked it and it will not open my files at all that are in my documents. (my PM files are stored in the document file folder)

Sooo I need to remove the install.exe from the Open With Windows program. Just to run my projects in PM.

Can anyone help me????? PLEASE say it's possible.....

Can you go back and redo what you did with the install.exe but choose the pmw.exe this time?

Okay, anyone still with me.....
All of a sudden there are some .exe extensions.
these were not here before honest.....
I have....

install.exe but not a PM logo

PMUSERapp.exe

PMW.exe Not a PM logo

anything sound good?????

It's probably the PMW.exe that is the PrintMaster program you are running.

Every idea I see turns up a program that wants me to buy it....Anything that would really help ?
First one I downloaded doe not even open .sif files...won't extract the,

The other link show I have Printmaster 17 and I have 18.1

I would be happy to spend money IF it wolud restore my PrintMaster files...

That link was just a reference, nobody is trying to get you to buy anything.

We are going to need you to report back after each step, and we'll go slow to confirm everything is being done correctly.

OK, let's try what I mentioned above, right click on one of your .sig files, choose open with.

When you get the open with dialogue box, press the browse button and go to the C:\program files (x86) folder and find the PrintMaster folder.

(This is just like we did in your other thread)

When you get there find the PMW.exe (you pointed that out earlier)

Select that instead of the install.exe you picked earlier.

Really??? Really??? OMG you just fixed my problem.......I did just what you said......It opened the file on the desktop. It restored the document files so I could open with PrintMaster.....
In less than a minute......

Do I Dare ask if we can delete the install.exe in the open with or shoud I just be satisfied that my problem was solved?????

Excellent news!

I wouldn't bother with the install.exe being there it won't hurt anything as long as you know to leave it alone.
