Is it possible to make Windows Media stop updating media library for once and for all?

I'm not talking about retrieving media information of the internet, I don't have it active and basically everything in Options has been disabled but it still updates media library every time I launch it.

I don't want pictures, videos, music and all that other stuff to be a part of the Windows Media library at all.

I want the library to be empty at all times.
I only use Win Media to Rip Cd's I buy.

Thanks
