Windows Movie Maker 2.6 and live ntdll.dll *shoots self*

I try to save a made movie and I get the good old ntdll.dll falt module error.

This has been effecting all of my video editing software. Cyberlink wont even open.

again ntdll.dll

I've spent 6 hours XD 12:40 loosing my mind.

I've got a relatively fast PC.

-Please run a system file check and let us know the result

-Then a disk check:

-Perform a malware check as well: Malwarebytes

-Do you mess up the registry so far?

-What third party firewall are you using? Running 2 or 3 firewall or AV at the same time may cause some conflicts.

+1 for ttran's suggestion. When you receive a fault in an application, and that fault points to ntdll.dll, it's not actually ntdll.dll that's faulting. The reason is because ntdll.dll is just an "API" dll, so if an application fails when calling an API that is inside ntdll.dll and fails, the faulting module will *always* be ntdll.dll, when in fact that's not exactly what happened.

I would run sfc /scannow and check the system for malware/viruses/etc, but if the problem continues you will probably need to get a memory dump of the process when it is crashing for further analysis.

Tried sfc repair didnt work going on to the repair install

here's error. Its happens when I try to save a simple audio track with a picture in the background. I noticed someone mentioned starcraft 2 casing them issues I hope it's not tthat

How about getting a memory dump of the crashing process? I'm just not certain it's a hardware or filesystem issue - it's more likely a codec issue.

Time to just uninstall crap and hope I get lucky.
