Hey experts,

my new i7 laptop seems really slow and sluggish compared to my old AMD x2 desktop computer which I built 6 years ago.

the full specs of the laptop are as follows..

2nd generation Intel i7 Quad Core
8GB DDR3 RAM
750GB Hard Drive
1GB Nvidia 540M graphics

I initially thought it may be all the bloat ware that Lenovo added onto the machine so I wiped it all and put on a clean Windows 7 Home Premium 64 on it and nothing else however its still slow.

Anyone got an suggestions on how to speed up this beast and make the whole experience a little less time consuming :-)

Cheers
