While more and more organizations are assessing how they can incorporate hybrid cloud as part of their strategic infrastructure, we see organizations like Paul Smith, Standard Life, Cushman and Wakefield already adopting a hybrid cloud approach as they transform their datacenters. Organizations are choosing Microsoft for their hybrid cloud because the combination of Windows Server 2012 R2, System Center 2012 R2 and Microsoft Azure help them deliver the most agile, flexible and consistent hybrid experiences. We’re already busy building the next version of Windows Server and System Center, making it easier to implement hybrid by taking our learnings from running Microsoft Azure at hyperscale to Windows Server and System Center.

Over the past week, the Windows team has shared new information on the direction and delivery of Windows 10, both for consumers and enterprises. We’d also like to share a little more on what to expect from Windows Server and System Center this year. As we continue to advance the development of these products, we plan to release further previews through the remainder of 2015, with the final release in 2016. Our next preview is planned for the spring of 2015. Windows Server will continue to share the same core technology as Windows and we will continue working together on solutions for our customers. In fact, the next version of System Center Configuration Manager, which delivers support for Windows 10, will ship in a timeframe that aligns with Windows.

We hope that you’ll join us at the Ignite conference in May for sessions, discussions and more on what’s next for Windows Server and System Center. If you haven’t already, you’re welcome to join us on the journey today by trying out Technical Preview 1.

Thanks and keep the feedback coming!

Enterprise Cloud Team.
