This is very confusing to me.
When I start Windows 7 the first thing on the screen is "Organizing Your Desktop". This takes nearly 2 minutes and then Windows opens at what appears to be normal.
But it is far from normal.
I get a little message in the lower right-hand corner stating I am logged on as a temp and no files or other work I might do will not be saved .
I am not aware of doing anything to cause this action, but then who knows, something happened and I am the only one to use this laptop.
Any thoughts on what am I might to do now?
Thank you

If above doesn't help then create a new Admin-level User Account and see if all functions correctly from it. If so copy your files over to it, delete old User account placing all of its files on desktop in case you forget something. User Account - Create - Windows 7 Help Forums

Some programs may need uninstall and reinstall if they are not accessible to the new account.

If new User account is still problematic, run SFC /SCANNOW Command
and report back results.

Sometimes a Repair Install can resolve this.

In addition compare your install to the perfect install compiled in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 based on what's worked best in tens of thousands of installs we've directly helped with here.

Many thanks for the replies and suggestions to my problem. After trying the items listed I decided to do a restore back to about two weeks. Right now the problem is showing, so maybe it is fixed. My concern and something I will be looking out for is, by doing a restore I backed off a few Windows updates. Now when they come in I will check them carefully, one by one to see if one update might have caused the problem. Let me say I doubt this very much, because nobody else has complained . :)
Thanks again for the posts. I really appreciated the help.
