Solved Windows Stopped Responding+The logon process was unable to display...

I've done some reading about these two issues , and I have tried doing a disk check, and a clean boot. Both failed, however I CAN boot into safe mode, even with networking. Any suggestions on how to go about troubleshooting this issue? I can access all of my Windows files via Debian if I really need to get into it.

You can access a sfc /scannow from safe mode as you will see.

When I said 'failed' I meant in the 'it worked but found nothing' sense, sorry for the misunderstanding, clean boot just worked like normal windows, it stops responding when i try to open a program. and thank you for the help!

So I have it right then you boot up it runs a disk check but it comes back as disk ok?

Now when you say it stops responding on trying to open a program just what sort of programs do you mean as obviously posting here is opening a net application and I am assuming that this is done via Debian?

One other thing how long ago did you install 7, has it ever run properly, and if so when did the problems start - approximately.

I am using Safe Mode with Networking so I can follow your directions instantly, The programs I tried to open, Windows Explorer, and Chrome. 7 Came with this computer, and I only had to reinstall windows 2 months ago when i installed linux. Yesterday was the first sign that it was doing something strange. Didn't download anything since the 15th.

Hum so you are using dual boot then? Now what to do next is the quandary. I have had a dual boot machine before but it has always been a dual Windows boot 7&8. So I am left wondering if the Debian is somehow hobbling the Windows 7'

Just as a matter of curiosity the Debian do you use it more or less than the Windows 7?

I ask because I am wondering what to do next.

It is even, a 50/50 split of the hard drive, malwarebytes finished a scan and found 4 things, rebooting now to see if its fixed.

Considering I only use it for games, ill just have mcaffee run more often, and run MB frequently and keep going with ccleaner. but thank you immensely!

No probs but you will find SAS and ADW will pick up stuff too like MBAM and even my Kaspersky misses stuff too so I run them very frequently and they only take a a couple of minutes.
