Solved Windows Themes choices are grayed out..how do I change theme?

Here is a picture of my screen when I click on Personalization and try to change the desktop theme on my PC. In the past these were live links. What happened?

Hi therealsimpsons, One place you can try is, from the startmenu search box, type services.msc

scroll down to themes and right click, and click restart.

When I do that, the 'themes' is grayed out. I'm going to do a repair installation. Think that will help?

Hi again, If it was me I would try sfc /scannow first from the link below, and see if it can repair the files,

and do this twice, and reboot after first check.

Hi Ethel, thank you for the help. I discovered my anti-virus hid a bunch of stuff in order to "make my computer run faster by disabling unneeded software. I have reversed that, and all is well.
