Okay so I don't remember doing it but my computer must had restarted or something during an update as I cannot get Windows 7 to update now. It will just say searching for updates constantly.

I have looked online and tried a few different of the suggestions but it has come to down to a point where I need help to get the most updates available to me.

Things I have observed as well:

Even if I manually download a update and open it to install it just continues to say "searching"

I have also tried using the Update fixit tool I saw on a link on a different help topic on Microsoft and it said it fixed everything but one item from an update done and it gives this in the same line 0x80070005. I did google that and it appears it can have to do with permissions or something? Not 100% sure but I have even allowed svchost.exe into my firewall so it should be allowing that to occur. I have even allowed full control of APPData.

Here is my CBS attached, and I have also done a SFC /scannow and it came up clean.

Follow these instructions exactly.
First, set Windows Updates to never check for Updates.
Next reboot your computer, then install KB3020369, if not installed.
Then install KB3172605.

Windows updates should return to normal. You can then reset your updates to automatically check for updates if desired

You sir/madam just resolved what I have attempted to fix myself for the past 48 hours going through countless Microsoft topics searching for answers. Ironically enough I did run acorss the first one a few times but I suppose you disable it from checking updates and restarting as you instructed first.

I suppose what they say about "just ask for help when you need it" is true.

Thank you again for perfect assistance. Now to download 200+ updates haha.
