Hello.
This is my first posting so here goes!

I'm fixing a computer for a friend. I can't get SP1 to complete installation.
I followed the instructions for creating the CBS log file and have attached it here.
I took a look inside the checkSUR log file and I can see the following:

The system specs listed in my account are for this computer.
(Windows 7 64 bit home premium)

Can you tell me if this is this the root cause? Can you help me with this issue?
Thank you for your time and effort!

I've uploaded a file - maiaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder maiaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

OK all run.
log files are attached after running CheckSUR.
I took a look in the log files and it looks like it made the fixes.
Note: I first accidentally clicked on another file (Windows6.1-KB979900-x64) thinking it was the CheckSUR tool. I had downloaded that a few days ago when trying to fix this issue but it failed to install. I hope that didn't hurt anything. Sorry about that.

Great!
CheckSUR is happy now - with any luck you won't have any more problems.
