Hi there guys,

So, most of the time, when I run Windows Update, it'll give me the message: "Windows Update cannot run because windows update is not started" or, you know, something like that. I've checked the services, both the Windows Update and the Background intelligent transfer are started.

I have tried the FixIt pertaining to the issue from Microsoft, but to no avail. It puts an X next to Being able to download updates and a CAUTION SIGN next to missing or corrupted files.

I have tried the common command prop solution. Does not work. Same issue.

I have tried downloading and installing the System Update Readiness Tool but the installation results in an error.

The thing is, sometimes the manner in which it displays the error changes. It could be the message I listed before, or it will quickly flash the download bar for half a second and return to the "Check Update" button, or, as it is currently displaying, it will give me the error 8023A000.

Is there something you guys think I should do that I haven't tried?
