Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB2656351)
Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB2600217)

Both updates keep installing after successful installing over the last two weeks +. No errors. Ran scannow, no errors. Ran command prompt. fsutil resource setautoreset true %systemdrive%\ and it didn't do anything either. Have uninstalled several times, but it keeps coming back. Ran Fix PC or whatever the Microsoft troubleshooter is and it didn't do anything either. ?

The OP would appear to have used Aaron Stebner's /NET cleanup tool and successfully installed v4.5 as a solution.
