Installed 3 updates this morning:
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 (KBB90830)
2018--11 Security Monthly Quality Rollup For Windows 7 For x64 Bases Systems (KBB4467107)
Corsair - HIDClass - 10/31/2018 12:00:00 AM -- 1.0.29

Now my network connection icon in the system tray says I have no internet connection but everything is working as it should. In fact I'm typing this inquiry while supposedly not connected to the internet right now.

This problem has occurred a couple of other times and I have had no luck in finding a solution. Have recently reformatted a few weeks ago and had no problems with this until this morning.

Any other information will be provided when asked if it's relevant.

Hi Synnastyr,

Welcome to SevenForums!

This sometimes works!

Go into Windows Task Manager, find explorer.exe, right-click it and select End Process.
Then create a new task for explorer.exe. File -> select New Task (Run...) -> type explorer.exe -> press OK.

You could also try this -> Notification Area Icons - Reset.

I hope this helps!

Have you shut the computer down, shut down your modem or WiFi device, then rebooted them again. A reboot often fixes small problems like this.

First thing I learned to try. Sadly has yet to work at all.

Have you tried to see if the Corsair-HID Class is causing he problem. You should be able to uninstall the 2018--11 Security Monthly Quality Roll up For Windows 7 For x64 Bases Systems (KB4467107), by looking in Installed Updates & right clicking on & select Uninstall, to see if that will fix the problem. However if you do uninstall it, it will probably reappear again soon after as a new update. But the exercise here is to find out what has caused your internet failure.

No change after uninstall or reinstall of the update. Failed to make sure it was known that the Corsair shouldn't be the problem since this has happened when I was running a logitech kb and mouse too.

As this problem has only occurred since those 3 updates were installed, then it's reasonable to think it's one of them. As you have tried uninstalling KB 4467107 to no effect, so just try removing or uninstalling the Corsair item. The Malicious Software Removal Tool is a once only run, so it can't be removed.

I can't offer any more suggestions. The Corsair HID I assume is a Human Interface Device which could affect your mouse & keyboard as they are Human Interface Devices.

Nope, the original post stated this has happened a couple of times before. However poor clarification is at fault here.
Has happened before without any Corsair products, programs or drivers installed.
Happened this time directly after installing the previously mentioned updates, one of which is involved with the Corsair crap I now own.
