So i recently build my brother a PC for Christmas and i have installed windows 7 pro on it. its working fine and dandy however when i try to run the next lot of windows updates it tells me that i am up to date, when i know that I'm not. I have run 3 round of windows update and installed something close to 300 updates and not one has failed but when i try to update the next lot it wont let me. I know that i need to update from previous experience and it is still in the original UI from early service pack 1 (it changes slightly with one of the updates) which allows the task bar to be colour customisable. I have run the trouble shooter and everything was fixed and the only error I got was the 0x80070005 error. But i still can't update. Anyone know what it going on here? I've also ran the update readiness tool, and reset the windows update components which didn't work either.
I will attach my SUR log

Error code 0x80070005 is also known as "ACCESS DENIED." It usually occurs when you lack file or registry permissions that are required to install the update.

You can reset registry permissions, with cmd file, extract to desktop & run.

You can also run VB script to query WSUS directly for updates. Check for upates & install them bat.

Note, if you receive error popup, not compatible with win32, just click OK & be patient script will run with additional popups. Still trying to determine what is causing that error message. :o

If you receive question on choice of download location, choose 2 Microsoft WSUS (that is default).

If any updates are available for your machine, you will be notified, & offered choices.

If you believe Windows Update history is incorrect or corrupt you can run Reset WU history bat.
