Hi, I am having a problem with my windows update settings, I have to always reset it. When I installed Windows 7 on my current system which has an AMD Athlon 64 bit dual core cpu rated at 2.69 GHz, 4Gb of ram, and a pci express video card which is NVidia GForce 9600 GS. The update setting I use is automatic update. About every 2-3 days I get a message in the action center to reset windows update. I have not encountered this problem before and could someone help me with it, please.

Set it to check for updates but to let you download and install them, then clcik OK at the bottom.

See how this setting works out. You can always check for updates yourself.

Windows will let you know there are updates to download, then you check to see which ones you want.

I don`t let windows install anything without my knowledge :)
