To all, If you were Boeing, would you take a chance and post all your plans, drawings, designs, etc., on someone else's servers. That would be a definite no. The cloud is just not going to be all that great.
A great deal of you members in the past have indicated that you would never put your personal information, files, or whatever on the cloud. And, I would agree with you 100% that it will never happen on my end.
TV ads are popping up like crazy about cloud computing; especially during football and basketball games. People are being brain washed at this time so when OS's like Chrome, and Windows 8 hit the market they will be ready to try this new and wonderful way of computing. The only one we really haven't heard much on this subject is Apple (but, do to their secret ways we won't until they release something), and when they finally do it will be considered revolutionary (OS XI).
Is this the way of the future, may be. However, the ISP and cell phone providers will have to step up and clean up there acts first. Working with slow connections will be the first thing that will start a down fall of the cloud. Peak business hours will put a huge strain on WIFI and 3/4 G systems; far more than they do now.
If the Cloud is to work then security is the main issue. At the moment it is in reality a secure way of storing information and files. Albeit, as time goes on and the hackers get to know more about the Cloud and start working on ways around it then how safe will a company's data be.
