windows was unable to complete the format

Have been following this thread and my limited research leads me to agree with jumanji in that I think it is the writer/media compatibility problem. Have you tried the same disc on another newer PC. I think it is the age of your writer causing the problem. If you try another PC this will proove us right or wrong!
