Hello everyone!

Firstly i wanna apologize my very bad english spelling skills and say that i´m new to this forum.

My problem started about month ago, very often when i try to shutdown or reboot my windows suddenly everything gets blurry on my desktop and nothing happens. I can move mouse and use keyboard, but it only reacts to ctrl+alt+del and when i press that combination it goes to that "login" screen.

If i try to shut it down from there, screen just goes black and nothing happens. Luckily today when i pressed ctrl+alt+del it also popped up this error message:

dwm.exe - Application Error : The instruction at 0x690043f0 referenced memory at 0x690043f0. The memory could not be written.

Click on OK to terminate the program

When i clicked it windows would shutdown normally as it should be, but this was a first time it popped up and usually i´ve had to shut down my pc from power button when my desktop crashes at shutdown.

The weird thing is that windows management log claims that this pop up window has shown itself always whwn i get that error. but anyways this was the first time i saw it.

I have reinstalled my system but that was no use, i´m starting to get pretty confused.

I have no problems when windows is on or when i´m gaming, browsing internet, listening music, multitasking etc etc.

Only problem is this crashing what keeps happening sometimes when i try to shutdown/ reboot my pc. my conclusion is that DWM.exe wont shutdown proberly.

D: i hope someone here understanded my messed up text and can help me!

Edit: My OS is Windows 7 ultimate x64

Edit2: Last time it crashes was at 21:47:31 local Finnish time and that was the same time when the error window "dwm.exe - Application Error : The instruction at 0x695743f0 referenced memory at 0x695743f0. The memory could not be written.

Click on OK to terminate the program" popped up first time.

Also when desktop got blurry i also could still hear msn message voice.

I have scanned my pc with malwarebytes, also used avast pro at startup, scannow i have done also thou i will do it 3 more times again. Cleanboot would be rather troublesome to me cuz sometimes my pc lets me reboot like 10 times without problem then again it suddenly does that weird crash.

I will report again soon!

Just to save some time.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:
* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.
To ensure minidumps are enabled:
* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

I note that you have both Avast and Malwarebytes installed on your computer. Running two security services is known to cause conflicts. Please remove Avast using the AVAST uninstall utility.

Adobe AIR is causing problems on your system. If you are not developing Adobe software, AIR is not required on your system and can be removed through Uninstall a program in Control Panel.

You have a common set of errors that occur after installing SP1. See Event ID 10 is logged in the Application log after you install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 to remedy the errors.

You have another common set of errors that can be remedied following the steps in Event ID 4107 or Event ID 11 is logged in the Application log in Windows and in Windows Server.

Run the disk check again on C: since "Windows has made corrections to the file system."; keep running the disk check on C: until you receive the message that "Windows has checked the file system and found no problems" for the C: drive. Your D: drive already indicated the second message.

I did, i followed the instructions given me in this topic post them again for you.
These helped me alot:

"Download and install the free version of Malwarebytes :
Free anti-malware, anti-virus and spyware removal download (do not start the trial)
and make sure it is updated. Do not run a scan yet.

Download VIPRE Rescue - VIPRE Computer Recovery Solution from Sunbelt Software but do not unzip it yet

Download the Fakerean removal tool but do not run it yet.

0 Start your computer in Safe Mode
1 Unzip VIPRE Rescue and let it run.
2 Run a full scan with Malwarebytes.
3 Run the fakerean removal tool.

Run Disk Check with both boxes checked for all HDDs and with Automatically fix file
system errors checked for all SSDs. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using Check Disk (chkdsk)
- Read Event Viewer Log
Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker up to three times to fix all errors.
Post back if it continues to show errors after the third run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations.
Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup"

Some hotfixes

Event ID 10 is logged in the Application log after you install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 to remedy the errors.

Event ID 4107 or Event ID 11 is logged in the Application log in Windows and in Windows Server.
