I googled and searched around a bit and found a thread that resembles my problem, except in reverse.
Seen here: Link to Thread

Basically, I have a HP Laserjet 3055 PCL5 shared from a Windows 7 64-Bit machine. The Windows XP machine continually gives errors that it cannot find a suitable driver to use.

I've downloaded and installed all of the drivers from the 3055 page and I've even tried 1012 drivers.

Any help?

How is the printer connecting to the Win7 computer?

According to HP's site at Drivers & Software for HP LaserJet 3055 All-in-One Printer - HP Support Center. there are drivers/software available for WinXP. Do be sure to get the correct version, most likely would be Windows XP and NOT for Windows XP 64-bit/x64. The 64-bit version of WinXP wasn't widely used, probably due to lack of 64-bit programs and drivers for hardware. Using a mix of 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS on a network usually makes no difference.

I usually install printers in such a scenario as Networked and on each computer to be used, have an HP Officejet and HP Laserjet connected to my Router by Ethernet cable and software on all computers, Windows, Mac and Linux, some Wired and some Wireless/Wi-Fi.

I believe the printer is USB connected to the Windows 7 computer then just shared over the network via that computer. The computer name is literally "User-PC" so the path is "\\User-PC\HP LaserJet 3055 PCL5"

I've tried all drivers on that page, including the Universal drivers and the regular printer drivers. I've also checked to make sure someone didn't mess up and install a 64 bit version of Windows XP.
