WinXP wants a password to use Win7 Printer

I installed a network printer on my laptop. The networked computer is connected to my Win7 desktop computer.

It works great until I restart my laptop. When I try to print anything the program I'm trying to print from crashes.

I then have to uninstall the printer, Enter a username and password to access the win7 machine then reinstall the printer.

I have "Turn on file and printer sharing." for my home connection.

Printers have permissions like anything else, thus requiring authentication unless configured otherwise.

Well this is the first time I've ever had a printer that I had to login to everytime I want to print to it. How about some help?

Well this is the first time I've ever had a printer with this problem, it works fine when I boot the Win7 machine into winxp. How about some help?
