wireless internet connection doesnt have a valid ip configuration

I am trying to connect my laptop to our wireless internet but I keep getting the issue that my wireless internet connection doesnt have a valid ip configuration. What do I do about this?

First check to make sure your notebook doesn't have it's IP hard coded. It should obtain an ip address automatically. Let us know if this is the case, and we can go from there.

try the 'troubleshoot problems' option from your internet access. see what it says.
