wireless keeps dropping, sometimes taking the router with it

Hi,
Windows Home Premium 64. my wireless connection drops about twice a day. Sometimes, it takes the wireless router with it. I have a bunch of stuff on the wireless network, but it seems my laptop is the only one causing a problem. My primary card is a intel n-1030, but I've also tried a wireless usb adapter and have the same issue. I have even tried a different router. Same result. updated drivers, flused the DNS. no luck. You can start by disabling those msoft virtual mini port adaptors if you aren't using them. They are famous for causing problems like this. You might also want to make sure that you are using a clear channel for your wireless connections. Xirrus WIFI inspector works well for this.

You can disable and remove them completely by following the directions in the link below. I can't say for certain they are causing the problem but they are famous for causing such problems. According to your ipconfig you should be online, though the mini ports may be preventing you from getting online it may be something else that is causing the problem.

It also may work better to remove the DNS entries from your IPv4 properties window and instead type the desired DNS servers into your router's wireless set up page.

If you ever need the virtual mini ports you can get them back by just reinstalling the drivers for the wireless NIC.
