Any ideas?

Interesting. I never had issues with this, haven't done it for a while though. Now I have your problem. Latest Fraps regged version on Win7 MC x64.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a MS way of defeating the Fraps "DRM Buster".

I think I fixed it here. I had "Lock Framerate" checked. Un-checking it seemed to fix or workaround the issue.

Hmm... I had it unchecked. So now I checked it. It worked, but I was in full-screen mode. But when I put it back in window mode it crashed again. Ok, now I'm unchecking "lock framerate", maximizing window and it didn't crash.

So apparently that's the issue, whether you're the window is maximized or minimized.

Thanks for getting me interested in messing with it again, bro. :)

I was testing windowed. It did occur to me to try fullscreen but I haven't got around to it yet. Nice to have Fraps when I see a friend on TV or a moron doing something that may make good Youtube fodder.
