In Windows 7 Beta, RC, and now the official version, Windows Media Player 12 hangs under the following circumstances and will not work until I reboot:
The process wmplayer.exe stays in memory even after I have closed the WMP application.
An enhancement request would be to have WMP stop trying to sync whenever I insert a flash drive. I want to turn off syncing permanently but have not found the settings to allow this.
- When I open WMP to my library and click the Play button.
- When I pause a song for several minutes then try to unpause it.
- Sometimes, even double-clicking a song to start it causes the player to hang.
