WMP12 Hangs for a few seconds

Ok...this is how it happens... WMP12 not open. I double click to open/play an mp3. WMP12 opens and begins playing the mp3 in "now playing" mode. Then a second later it switches to library mode, hangs for 4-8 seconds (blue ring spinning), then switches back to "now playing" mode. It's VERY annoying. Has anyone experienced this and/or know of a fix? Thanks. Win7 64-bit 8gb ram Core i7 860

Welcome cygnusb, have you considered using another media player at all like itunes and see if it dose the same thing?

Sure I have, but I am used to and like using wmp. I haven't had this problem with any other player. I was hoping someone else has experienced this issue and may shed some light on solving it.
