Won't automatically add 'Date modified' to downloads

Hi! First off, I kinda suck with computers, so I'm sorry if I make this more difficult than it should be. Also, this is kind of a silly question.
When I used to download images, my computer would automatically add a 'date modified' thingy to it, so that I could sort through them easily by setting the folder to be arranged by the date I saved it. But it suddenly stopped adding the date modified- or any other properties- to anything I right-click-save, so that I have to search through my (admittedly large) folder and manually add the date. Is there any way I could set it back to automatically doing this? Thanks!

Open a folder with the images> Right click a blank area and chose Sort by> Scroll down to More at the bottom> Scroll down to Date modified and put a check mark next to it> Now click on the Date modified text itself and on the right side, Move up should now be clickable> Click on Move up



This will move Date modified to the top of the list. See if your old behavior is now back.
