I just built a new computer with Windows 7 32 bit. I installed a 1TB hard drive, but the system is showing only 127GB. Is this due to the 32 bit system. I know the 32 bit will only recognize 4GB of ram and that's what I installed. Is there a way I can have the system recognize the full 1TB?

Is the drive your system partition? Post a screenshot of your Disk Management screen so we can see what's going on.

Thanks for all the info. I was able to increase the volume size thru Disk Management. I didn't know Windows, by default, recognizes only 127GB of a new drive. Problem solved!

It doesn't do that by default, unless you are talking about Windows XP pre-SP1 or earlier. Windows 7 will show the drive as is when it is added to the computer.
