Hi all,
I've gone through every post I can find on here related to sleep/standby issues and nothing has fixed the problem yet. If I manually choose the sleep or hibernate option windows seems to get to the sleep state but within less than a second everything spins back up. It won't enter sleep on it's own, either. Previous to this I had XP64 installed and it would go into sleep mode fine manually (it rarely would automatically, but manually was at least better than nothing and it wasn't enough of a bother to troubleshoot).
I'm running Win7 Pro x64 on a Core2 Duo 2.6, ASUS P5L-MX motherboard, Nvidia 7600GT and an IDE HD. Lots of other devices on USB but all disconnected to help diagnose, except mouse and keyboard. Windows says I'm all up to date but I've also updated my BIOS and installed the latest chipset, LAN and Audio drivers from ASUS.
I've adjusted my power plan settings as described elsewhere, to allow sleep while sharing media, etc. I've turned off wake ability for every device that had it (like the NIC).
powercfg -lastwake lists 1 wake history count but zero wake source count, so no help there. powercfg -devicequery wake_armed lists nothing now since I've disabled everything. The event viewer Power-Troubleshooter entry shows "Wake Source: Unknown".
I've tried adjusting the BIOS settings for enabling or disabling ACPI 2.0, with no effect. I've tried toggling most of the other power plan settings too, such as hybrid sleep.
Any help or tips to troubleshoot further would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
