Solved Wrong default programme

Hi, I accidently set Notepad as my default. Now I can't download,run or open certain files and programmes. I tried to use the Snippet tool to make a picture. So, I copied what it looks like. All other files I try to open looks similar. Please Help..!!

yes i did merge, log off and back on. Everything is still the same.. I still get this in notepad when trying to open a program

I am not sure it is the same fix but check this one out Restore .EXE File Association in Windows 7/Vista After Incorrectly Associating it With Another Program - The Winhelponline Blog

It involves deleting a reg key then merging. The screenshot is the same as your problem.
