Solved Xbox 360 Controller & Battlefield 3

I really wanted a controller for Jets in Battlefield 3 (I also needed it for DiRT 3 and NFS: The Run) so I received one for Christmas, only to find out it doesn't work for it. I have used the controller on DiRT 3 and NFS, and it worked fine. Any help?

Excuse me? A controller for bf3!? I must have read that wrong!

Not all games support windows controllers or joypads from the get go. The easiest way to tell is look at back of the game box.

You should however be able to manually edit the controls via the bf3 options, but I'm guessing you've tried that.

A 3rd party controller mapping program could be used that runs in the back ground, but I can't name any off the top of my head.

I have issues with my saitek RAT 9 on bf3 and it refusing to see the second scroll wheel, even when using a 3rd party mapping program.

The best fix would to be.. A joy stick then you can really own the skys lol

I haven't, but the only devices listed are Keyboard, Mouse and Joystick. I'll try it out later, and I'll post if I am able to use/map it.

Maybe. If I'm not happy, I'll look around. The Cyborg V.1 is a likely candidate.

i cant play it MW3 with my controller xbox360 and i found one program is work great the program is (Pinnacle Game profiler) look on google and you see.Is a little complicate but work i garantee

360 controller works in BF3. We set it up on my friends machine to test it out to fly the Jets and it works great.
You just map the buttons and sticks in the Joystick area.
It also works fine while you are on foot, although turning and aiming are a bit slow compared to the mouse.

Ah, thanks. Well, I'll connect my Xbox 360 controller and go into and empty server to test it and see.
It did. It needs getting used to, but it works
