Everything has been working fine on my custom built Windows media center for years. I recently introduced a XBox 360 on to my network for the sole purpose of using it as an extender to replace a Comcast box. It works perfectly fine -- picture, channels, etc., but when I use it, the WMC computer goes completely offline until it's rebooted.

By offline, I mean totally offline. No shows record, no internet activity, anything. I've googled and tried to find any suggested and I tried searching this forum before posting, but I don't see anything comparable.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Update: I ran a ping on the HTPC. As soon as I open the TV listings on the XBOX extender, pings fail and all network traffic stops until I reboot.

Make sure nothing is interfering with your stuff. There could be an interference. Also check if everything is plugged in correctly.

Actually, it was an ASUS software package that helped update BIOS, etc. Once I removed that, everything works fine.
