Hi...i have a strange problem that I hope someone can help with.

I have installed Virtual-PC and XP mode from the Microsoft website, and it has installed fine. Except when I click on anything to open in the XP Mode window, it flashes up briefly then disappears and nothing opens. This can be a file , folder or icon on desktop (eg Windows Media Player).

I have one programme that I want to run in XP Mode, as it's too old for Win7. I can actually open up the programme, but when I click on File/Open the same thing happens...it just flashes up briefly then disappears.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as it's driving me nuts!...

Cheers for now,

Clive

You need to actually run the VM, install the application on the VM, publish it to the host and put the VM to sleep.

Install and use Windows XP Mode in Windows 7

Look at the bottom under To install and use a program in Windows XP Mode.
