XP Mode Updates

Installed virtual PC and xp mode no issues, but it wont let me manually install updates? i run control panel and click windows update and the web browser opens but page won't load??? the internet works perfectly through the virtual machine, so no connection issues??

i have set them to automatic anyway but even that doesnt work correctly, unless i'm missing something! the yellow shield in the system tray says downloading updates but i can't click on it to open up the window to view progress, nothing happens?! i've not waited long enough to see if it continues to download and install updates as i'm massively impatient! but i'd still like to know why its behaving so oddly?!

Hi Ben. You should be more patient, haha. If you can open another web page with the browser so it's ok. Try to open the windows page again and let the yellow shield finish the dowload. Take a deep breath and contron your anxiety, ahaha. Post back any doubt.
