XP Mode using update and Virtual Machine is slow

I downloaded an update so i can run XP mode on my Windows 7 computer, and it seems to be somewhat slow. It took about 5-10+ minutes to download Google Chrome. I also had a hard time navigating to google.com, and ended up closing XP, and opening it back up. I still had the problem and it worked when I set google.com as the homepage. Is there any way to make it run faster?

With your specs it should not be that slow......however keep in mind that xp mode is slower in Microsoft virtual machine as opposed to using vmware player for example. You can convert the xp mode into vmware player however.

Search google for a few options to do so.
