XPS 17 vs External Drive

My XPS automatically downloads all content from external drive to my "C" Drive, all folders are converted to Applications. Can't open folders in application with all my data. Does anyone have a solution?

What is an XPS 17?

What version of Win 7?
When did this start happening?

There has to be something running that is doing what you say. Have you tried booting to Safe Mode with Networking? Does it happen there?

Rich- if rodd3250 had filled out System Specs or said my Dell XPS 17
well, to me; XPS is the Win 7 virtual computer. I googled xps17 thinking it may be malware.
Now we know but I can't help.

Have you tried booting to Safe Mode with Networking? Does it happen there?
