"You have been logged on, on a temporary profile" - Recurring Issue

Hi-

This is a painful issue because things like chrome which are installed as per user do not work and nothing profile-wise can be saved on a temp profile.

This is the second time it has happened (the first time I created a new profile as suggested). However it has happened again barely 2-3 weeks after creating this new profile. I do not want to just create another new profile because I cannot just keep creating new ones when one corrupts. The installation of windows is pretty fresh, it's barely a month old.

Tried restarting (lots), running without startup services (msconfig) and running in safe mode but the issue still occurs.

Relevant Microsoft articles:

Error message: "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded

I have tried this and it did not work.

Fix a corrupted user profile

This is just telling you to create a new profile and copy the settings across which I do not want to have to do every month...

I have done my fair share of googline but have only found results leading to creating a new profile...

Any help at all would be appreciated

Thanks

generally, when working with broken profiles in Win7, I would backup and reinstall.

That would be a real pain, being such a fresh install and not having enough removable storage to back up the 2tb drive :(
