So we have a freeware programme of considerable power and ranged flexibility, a free, comprehensive manual, a library within a dedicated forum (interaction is not free, but the reading library is), voluminous threads on a variety of forums and countless utube videos on most aspects.
The point of these programmes, of which Macrium and Aomei are just two of many, is the simple safety of reliable recovery from error or disaster. Quite a successful development story ... from my viewpoint, quite satisfying.
