Zunes software makes my computer don't boot.

After installing zune software, ususally my computer freezes/takes forever to boot at the "ACER" screen. This only happens after I installed zune software. I tried it on my Windows xp and that never happens.

If I suspect it will a happen again, I just quickly go into my bios and exit so my pc could boot.


systems specs: Windows 7 x64

Q8400 2.66 ghz

8 GB DDR2

750 GB HDD

HD 5770 1 GB

thx. I'll keep that in mind. For some reason it stopped now.

Ok i can recreate the problem now. My computer freezes at the acer screen if I connect my zune to my computer before turning it on. Guess I have to remember to unplug my zune before turning on the pc.

What it's likely doing, if you copies media from your PC onto your Zune, is going through every item on the Zune and every corresponding folder/item on the PC and resynchronizing the two. If you have a lot of media on the Zune, this can take a long time.

Been a while since I used a Zune, but I believe the default was to autosynch whenever the Zune was plugged into the PC.
