How to Enable or Disable Sticky Notes Delete Confirmation in Windows 7 and Windows 8
InformationSticky Notes allows you to type and leave a Post-it type note on your desktop until deleted.
When you delete a sticky note, a "Are you sure you want to delete this note?" dialog message will open by default to confirm.
This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable the Sticky Notes delete confirmation message for your account in Windows 7 and Windows 8.
NoteThe downloadable .reg files below will modify the DWORD value in the registry key below.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\StickyNotes
PROMPT_ON_DELETE DWORD
0 = Disable
1 = Enable
EXAMPLE: Sticky Notes delete confirmation message
Here's How:
1. Do step 2 (enable) or step 3 (disable) below for what you would like to do.
2. To Enable Sticky Notes Delete Confirmation
NOTE: This is the default setting.
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

3. To Disable Sticky Notes Delete Confirmation
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

4. Save the .reg file to your desktop.
5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.
6. When prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.
7. If you have any Sticky Notes currently open, then you will need to log out and log in to Windows to apply your changes.
8. If you like, you can now delete the downloaded .reg file.
