I'm using window's virtual pc in xp mode. I'm having a problem on the direct3d since it doesn't have any videocard installed. I'm planning to run a dual client of a game and it is legal in the game. How do i solve the error on direct3d problem. Tnx

All Virtual PC virtual machines (including XP Mode) use an emulated S3 Trio GPU which does not support 3D graphics, so there's no way to get Direct3D installed and working on XP Mode.

More about Virtual PC GPU can be found in this post: https://www.sevenforums.com/virtual...s-win7-32bit-virtual-machine.html#post2068626

Sorry for the late answer, but that's not my case, I'm running Virtual PC 2007 6.0.156.0, Windows 2000 as guest and I'm doing DirectX 7.0 programming with Visual Studio 6.0.

By the way, Direct3D doesn't work if you have installed Virtual Machine Additions.
