for some reason im getting this error now any help
and i can only enter in safe mode if i try to enter out of safe mode i get that message and the screen stays black

Where did you get your copy of win 7?

got it from the guy i bought my pc from and that was from Craigslist
i got the box and the key stickers on there

but the box says its windows 7 home premium and i got 32bit and a 64bit but 32bit is installed

(Yeah, it's a bouilerplate designed to try and get people not to tag their new reports onto the end of an existing thread

MGADiag reports can get complex enough, without having to try and deal with two or three different ones in the same thread!

You ran that report in Safe Mode

The machine *should* boot to normal mode - but may take a minute or two as it attempts a self-repair, so leave it be for a while and see what happens. The background will stay black, but everything else should pretty much be the same.
If you get an error message (other than a demand to activate Windows, or buy another Key, which you can cancel out of and still get to the desktop), then please let us know exctly what it is.

In safe mode, there's not a lot I can see wrong - the machine appears to have validated OK at the end of December.
The Key is a standard Retail one - although I can't tell whether it's a Full Product, or an Upgrade Key.
The motherboard is a Retail one (to be expected if this was a self-build or from a small manufacturer).

Having said that, the fact that this is a Retail Key does ring alarm bells! :shock:

There is no way that a legit manufacturer is going to install a Retail Windows into a system - it would hike the price too much - unless by special request of the purchaser.
Please compare your disk and Key package with the one posted here.....
How to Tell

There have been a number of cases recently where a Retail Key has been sold a number of times while being tagged as 'refunded' in MS's database - the vendor simply ordered tke key, then returned the package through channels, and sold it a few times before MS could update its database.

You are aware that the motherboard is at least 4 years old??

All in all, If you bought this PC as eithre New, or Legitimate, I would seriously consider demanding a refund from the vendor, as it most certainly is not new, and the legitimacy is heavily called into question - although until you can run a report in Normal Mode, I can't be certain that the WGA problem isn't caused by something else.

Hold your horses!
If this is an Upgrade, it must have a base licnese from which to upgrade -
Does the system have a COA sticker on it for any version of Windows at all?
Did you also get disks and Key for another version of Windows?
If the answer to both questions is NO, then the Upgrade license is by definition invalid, and the install non-genuine.

I can find no motherboard that has a BIOS date the same as the one yours does - do you know what make and model the board is?
I ask, because there's a good change that the board is even older than it seems - perhaps by as much as three years.

I really do think you should be talking to the vendor (strongly!), rather than attempting to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear

The vendor broke the law by misrepresenting the sale - either he refunds you or you set the appropriate authorities onto him.

It's almost certainly 'fixable' in terms of solving the WGA problem - but the result may well be that you end up having to purchase a new legal license for Windows.

Like I say - see what happens if you wait a whiile and cancel out of any 'buy a new License' screen when you boot to Normal Mode.
Assuming it comes to the desktop, run another MGADiag report, and we'll see what we can see.

The validation page will only run in Normal Mode (it'll either not install the control, or say that Validation was Interrupted)

The most obvious penalty of the non-genuine status is the black background - but the rest of your screen should be pretty much as normal (except for the notification)
Most applications (except MSE) will continue to run normally, but you will be locked out of any application that requires validation (Media Center is an obvious one, althoug I think WMP will still work)
MSE will start a 30-day countdown, and then quit working.

I finally found your motherboard specs

(I wish Asrock would publish the right dates for the updates!)
The first BIOS on that board is dated November 2007 - your BIOS is dated 14th March 2008, and the next release was in July 2008 - so your board was manufactured before July 2008, and probably after November 2007

As far as how long to wait for the taskbar and icons to appear - they should do so within a minute (although if your machine is a slow one, it could take a lot longer - my normal boot to usability is in the order of 75-90 seconds - with an extra 15 or so seconds if it's non-genuine)
I's wait at least 5 minutes before even considering turning the machine off.

i did uninstall this KB971033 Microsoft Update while in safe mode
but when i booted up normally the watermark was there the pc kind of loaded slowly locked up froze whatever and then when it finished the watermark was gone could my windows be corrupted some how
