Multiple Windows 7 errors, possibly caused by a virus.
So, let me start with an introduction how it happened. I've been using my computer the same way I do every day. Browsing internet as my friend called me on skype. I tried to accept, however, I wasn't able to. Even if I clicked the accept button, nothing would happen. Thinking it's just some regular error, I force shut-down process of skype and tried to reopen it. Here I received a strange looking error. Do not remember it exactly. Went something like - "exception EoLeSysError in module Skype.exe..." Also, I should mention I have a mouse with editable buttons, so for this I use X7 Oscar Editor. It was working fine, however when I tried to start it up that day Windows Installer popped up and would try to "reinstall?" it. I'm not actually sure what was that about. What I know for sure is that that was the first unusual thing that happened. Not concerning myself with this, I restarted my PC, getting met with an error regarding X7 Oscar Editor: "Unregistered class." After that I tried to start up Skype. This time, no error message popped up. It seemed to start up alright, but it wouldn't respond if I tried to call/chat, basically anything. If I should guess, I'd say that nothing that was running during the time I decided to restart the PC wouldn't work properly. Tried to start League of Legends, since I remembered I had that running and was met with a "Not responding" message. Trying to run an in-built launcher repair wouldn't work. At this point the first thing that came to my mind was to run some sort of registry cleaner. So I did so. CCleaner did the job for me. I run a clean-up. Didn't do anything for me except only bring more corrupted files and problems. At this point I'd try to look through the control panel, but yet again, I was met with an unexpected occasion. In the control panel I couldn't click the blue link, like "Uninstall program" and so on. However I could still click every other link, and somehow get where I wanted to be. I tried to uninstall Skype, Avast and X7 Oscar Editor along with some other stuff (that wasn't working) I thought could possibly be causing the problem. Wasn't able to though. Different kind of messages popped up. This could be related to a corrupted Windows Installer (not sure, confirmation?) I tried to run Windows in safe mode with networking to see if I'd figure something out. When I switched back to normal boot my theme would change to a default one, so I went to change it, however, another error message. "Explorer.exe Server execution failed" Also, Windows doesn't recognize Avast, even though it's still installed and working properly. Not being sure about it working properly I figured I might as well try it out and see if there are any viruses on my PC. Did a complete system test and found a handful amount of viruses I was sure weren't there a week ago. The one that caught my attention the most was "Dropper GEN Trojan" Even after getting rid of this, nothing changed. So now I'm here, as the last resort before I just try to reinstall my windows completely. Btw, I didn't make any system recovery points, which was pretty dumb of me, since I thought they wouldn't be necessary. Silly me.
