trying to use update KB980182 gives code 800736B3?!?!?!

As title. Im using W7 64-bit version and its a cumulative security update for IE8.
Microsoft charges me to try and email my issues, so id thought id try here first.

what should i do to solve this problem? I have disabled my Kaspersky and no change. I have also downloaded it manually and it just says it cant be installed.

Is Windows Defender on? See if disabling it in 'services' helps.

1.Run cmd.exe with adminstrative previlliges (right click on cmd.exe as admin) and type:

    sfc /scannow

2.Run Readiness Tool Description of the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista, for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7, and for Windows Server 2008 R2

    after that find following files:

C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS (but don't remove this file, only copy it)

    all files from C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder

all required files pack to *.7z or *.RAR and upload on RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

For home users, no-charge support is available by calling 1-866-PCSAFETY in
the United States and in Canada or by contacting your local Microsoft
subsidiary. There is no-charge for support calls that are associated with
    security updates.

I've just started to check your logs and I see you have very seriously corruptions in CBS key, mostly errors Readiness Tool fixed but still remains full unsolved errors

    your CheckSur.log ->CheckSUR.log

Later I'll give instruction what to do...

I've checked thoroughly your logs and in my opinion the only solutions for you is repair installation Repair Install

    You have too much errors:

    Your SFC report log1.txt
Other errors reported in CBS.log log3.txt

As I said:too many errors,my recommended solution is repair installation ,of course to do that you have to have Win7 install disc
